Season 2, Episode 1: A Positive Future for LabVIEW | Darren Nattinger

Welcome to the LabVIEW Experiment, turning LabVIEW Developers into LabVIEW Experts,
one episode at a time! We believe in the idea that failure is a step in the process to become successful.

What are we discussing today?

Darren Nattinger (DNatt) is a CLA who has worked at NI for over 24 years. He spent most of that time in LabVIEW R&D, thinking of and implementing editor features to delight LabVIEW programmers. Currently, Darren is a Chief Technical Support Engineer, helping build up LabVIEW expertise in the tech support department at NI. Darren is the 7-time undefeated (now retired) World’s Fastest LabVIEW Programmer, and was the primary developer for LabVIEW features such as Quick Drop and the VI Analyzer Toolkit. His favorite LabVIEW framework is DQMH. Darren has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin, and an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. You can find a library of Darren's LabVIEW presentations, complete with slides, demos, and video recordings, at http://www.dnatt.org

In this episode, Sam and Darren talk about the changes Darren has seen with LabVIEW over the years during his time at NI.

“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes and DNatt’s cheeseburger icon.” – Benjamin Franklin
